The Delaware State Police (DSP) have arrested 60‑year‑old John Allen of Harrington for reckless endangering and other charges following a shooting incident on November 7, 2025.
Authorities were alerted around 1 p.m. when shots were reported on the 1000 block of Staytonville Road. Troopers say Allen was standing near the road and appeared to be waving down a vehicle. When the stopped driver approached, Allen allegedly produced a gun and fired at the vehicle as it began to pull away.
No injuries were reported from the gunfire, and DSP say they recovered firearms and processed the scene. Allen has been committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on bond.
