Front Royal Man Charged in Virginia Avenue Stabbing Incident

Victim Hospitalized After Fight Leads to Knife Attack; Suspect Held Without Bond

FRONT ROYAL, VA — A violent altercation in Front Royal has led to serious criminal charges against a local man after police say he stabbed another individual during a physical confrontation on Friday evening.

Jordan James Hall, 21, of Front Royal, is now charged with aggravated malicious wounding, a felony offense in Virginia. According to a press release from the Front Royal Police Department, officers responded to a report of two males fighting outside a residence in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue around 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While officers were en route, dispatch received updated information indicating that one of the individuals had been stabbed during the confrontation.

Victim Sustained Knife Wound Under Arm

Upon arrival, police officers located the victim who had suffered a stab wound beneath the left arm. Officers immediately rendered first aid at the scene. The victim was able to identify the suspect, who remained nearby. Officers then detained the individual, later confirmed to be Hall.

Emergency responders from Warren County Fire and Rescue transported the victim to Winchester Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment. According to Capt. Zachary King, the victim has since been released from the hospital.

Investigation and Evidence Collection

Detectives from the Front Royal Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence, including a knife believed to be the weapon used in the stabbing. Authorities have indicated that no additional charges are being sought at this time, but the case remains under active investigation.

Hall is currently being held without bond at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail and is scheduled to appear in Warren County General District Court on September 16.

Was This Attack Preventable?

If the stabbing occurred on rental property, commercial property, or public premises, there may be questions about negligent security or failure to prevent foreseeable harm. In some cases, property owners or landlords can be held liable if they failed to take reasonable precautions—such as lighting, surveillance cameras, or trained personnel—to prevent violent altercations.
