On April 16, 2025, a 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a stabbing incident at a bus stop in Santa Rosa, California. According to police reports, the victim and his friend were confronted by a group of four to five male suspects who arrived in a vehicle. The assailants allegedly issued gang-related threats and attempted to rob the teens. During the altercation, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his chest, wrist, head, and neck. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Following the attack, a witness provided authorities with a description and license plate number of the suspects' vehicle, which had been reported stolen. Within an hour, detectives located the unoccupied vehicle and initiated surveillance. Shortly thereafter, three male suspects entered the car. As officers attempted to detain them, two suspects fled on foot. One was apprehended after a foot chase, while the other was subdued using a Taser after refusing to comply with commands. A fourth suspect was later identified and arrested at a separate location.
A search of the suspects' vehicle yielded a knife believed to have been used in the stabbing and an article of clothing belonging to one of the victims. Additionally, one suspect was found in possession of three folding knives. In total, four knives were recovered. The suspects, three aged 15 and one aged 16, were booked into Juvenile Hall on charges including attempted murder, robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, and participation in a street gang.
