The incident began around 4:45 a.m. when the victim responded to a knock at her room's door at Samadhi House. Marshall was on the other side, and a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. During the altercation, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds. She was transported to HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston for treatment.
Marshall was located shortly after the incident at the Wenton Motel on Route 9W in Saugerties. She was arrested without incident and processed at State Police Kingston. Marshall faces several charges:

The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies. Initially, the City of Kingston Police Department was notified by HealthAlliance Hospital staff upon treating the victim. Determining that the assault occurred within Saugerties' jurisdiction, the case was transferred to the Town of Saugerties Police Department and subsequently to the New York State Police. The collaborative efforts of these departments were instrumental in the swift apprehension of the suspect.
This incident underscores the serious legal consequences of violent crimes.
